Doorsdirect2you.com
is founded on a unique business concept. We make the
highest quality custom built wood and wrought iron entry
doors and offer them for sale, to the customer at direct
from the factory prices, which simply cannot be beaten.
Our factory is located on the paradise island of Bali,
Indonesia ,and all our orders are shipped out by ocean
freight to the individual customer via a network of
cargo terminals. Our expertise and our range of products
is second to none, and all highly talented workforce of
woodworkers and blacksmiths are drawn from the local
community. Our management is from the UK and the US.
Our
facility is divided
into two
separate departments, the first contains an electricity
powered wood drying kiln and all the wood working
machinery, the second is our iron foundry. No work is
outsourced or subcontracted elsewhere. In most cases we
can get items from the factory to the customer in the
same amount of time or less than it would take to get
similar product from a US based supplier - and at far
less cost.
The
merbau hardwood
that we use is purchased locally from a licensed
supplier and it needs to be kiln dried for approximately
4 weeks until it has reached 6% moisture content - which
is the ideal level for exterior doors. Our iron is
purchased from Java. It is high quality, strong iron not
to be confused with the mild steel and prefabricated
iron that is passed for wrought iron today in the market
place. Our wrought iron is not made from a mold - but is
all worked by hand in a very labor intensive process of
bending and shaping the solid iron bar until the desired
effect is achieved.
Starting in 2005 we are
installing clear tempered glass in our doors at the
customer's request. We have not experienced any
breakages in shipping whatsoever, so please don't
hesitate to ask for glass to be installed with your
doors - it will definitely save you time and money.
